3 Online Concerts

For those of you who missed the free COVID Concert last Friday, click on the COVID Concert to watch the concert performed by Melinda Baird and Shaundra Baird Culatta.

What an amazing weekend we just finished, celebrating the 200th anniversary of one of the most important events in the world's history. And yet, the best part is yet to come. This week we celebrate the 2 most important events in the history of the world, the Atonement of our Savior and His resurrection.

On Good Friday, April 10, which is also the Worldwide Fast, at 7:00pm, the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square will be streaming its 2018 recording of Handel's Messiah. Click here for more details.

In addition, on Easter Sunday, April 12, the Lamb of God Sing-Along will be streamed at 3 different times: 1:00pm, 5:00pm, and 9:00pm EDT. Click here for the free vocal-parts-only score and other details.

Messiah Sing Along and Nutcracker Ballet

The next Messiah sing-along hosted by the Washington DC and Annandale Stakes will be held, not this December (as one might expect from past years), but next spring, as part of our Easter season preparations. This sing-along will feature movements from Messiah that concern the Savior's passion, crucifixion, and resurrection, as well as the consequences of his atonement for our own lives. Please mark your calendars for March 22, 2020, 7 p.m., at the Visitors' Center; come join with us there to worship the Lamb of God, who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  Flyer is attached.

The Kirov Academy is presenting a free preview of their Nutcracker Ballet at the Washington DC Temple Visitor Center at 7pm on November 16, 2019.  Flyer is attached.

Concerts on March 16 and March 17

A joint concert (Maryland Young Voices Festival) of 7 Youth Choruses from the State of Maryland including the Strathmore Youth Chorus will be held on March 16 at 6:30pm at the Washington DC Temple Visitor Center.

The Annandale Stake invites you to attend an Interfaith Concert on Sunday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the Annandale Stake Center (3900 Howard St. Annandale VA).  The concert will feature a diverse collection of local faith groups united in song around the theme "Love Thy Neighbor".  Please invite friends, neighbors and acquaintances to attend this special event.  Flyers are attached to this email.

Regional BYU Organ Workshop in Martinsburg

The Martinsburg West Virginia Stake is pleased to announce this year's BYU Regional Organ Workshop, to be held from 8:00 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, in the Martinsburg West Virginia Stake Center.  The training workshop will be taught by Dr. Don Cook, Associate Professor of Organ at BYU, and other organ professionals.  In addition, at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening, April 12, a special organ concert will be performed at the same location.  All attendees for the Saturday workshop are encouraged to register online beforehand at https://sites.google.com/view/byuorgan/west-virginia.
